Two months later, Neil Albert finally responds...
Last October, Council Members Mary Cheh and Kwame Brown asked Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development Neil Albert to pull the plug on what they called the "fatally flawed" LCOR deal for a mixed-use residential project at the Tenley Library/Janney Elementary site. The text of that letter is available here: http://ttownrfp.blogspot.com/2008/11/cms-cheh-and-brown-ask-mayor-to-abandon.html The two CMs requested a reply by November 7th, but Albert blew them off -- although he did go to the media with his "damn the Council, full speed ahead!" message.
